10 Jun – After confirming that he will be voicing Superman's dog Krypto in the upcoming "DC League of Super-Pets", Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson announced more big names of who will be joining him in the project. On 8 June, the actor posted a video where fans get the first look of Krypto, as he flies off and the name "Dwayne Johnson as Krypto" was shown on the screen. It then revealed his "Jumanji" co-star Kevin Hart as Ace, followed by several other names including SNL star and alum Kate McKinnon and Vanessa Bayer, "A Quiet Place" director John Krasinski, "Russian Doll" star Natasha Lyonne, as well as "John Wick" star Keanu Reeves. However, except for Hart - who will play the canine crime-fighting partner of Batman and Robin, the other characters have yet to be disclosed.
The animated feature is set to arrive in theatres on 20 May 2022. Johnson posted, "Our [Seven Bucks production" has again partnered with [DC Comics] and writer/director Jared Stern to bring you and your families SUPERHERO & SUPER VILLAIN FUN around the world." Judging from the video shared by The Rock, this is gonna be a superfun ride with the superpets.
