25 Oct – Warner Bros has finally found the Ken to their Barbie for the upcoming movie adaptation of the Mattel doll, and they have chosen Ryan Gosling for the job. The actor is set to join lead actress Margot Robbie in the new movie, which will be directed by Greta Gerwig of "Ladybird" and "Little Women" fame. Sources claimed that Gosling originally passed on the said project due to his hectic schedule, but was finally able to do the movie following a pre-production delay.
The upcoming movie is co-written by Gerwig and Noah Baumbach. Not much details have been released about the project, except that it could begin shooting in 2022 and is part of Mattel Films' series of movie projects involving their popular toys. On the other hand, the actor has just recently concluded filming his new Netflix action flick "The Gray Man" with Chris Evans.
