8 Jul – Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell are teaming up for an upcoming reimagining of Charles Dickens' Christmas classic, "A Christmas Carol".

The "Deadpool" star recently shared a photo on the set of the new Apple Original Films' movie, titled, "Spirited", with him playing an Ebenezer Scrooge-like character while Ferrell portraying a different version of Ghost of Christmas Present.

"Day 1 shooting with one of my comedy idols, Will Ferrel. You'd barely notice this was an [Apple] movie!" he tweeted.

Directed by Sean Anders ("Daddy's Home") who also wrote the film with John Morris, Reynolds is also producing the said movie that co-stars Octavia Spencer and Sunita Mani - the latter who will play the Ghost of Christmas Past.

The movie is currently filming in Boston.

Will Ferrell is no stranger to Christmas movies, with his 2003 film, "Elf" becoming one of the most popular Christmas movies of all time.
