8 Dec – It has now been confirmed that there will indeed be a sequel to the hit Marvel flick, "Shang-Chi". The news came along with reports that its director Destin Daniel Cretton has inked a new deal with Marvel Studios and Hulu's Onyx Collective, with the filmmaker to helm the said sequel as well as a new MCU series for Disney+. "Destin is an amazing collaborator who brought a unique perspective and skill to Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. We had a fantastic time working together on the film and he has so many intriguing ideas for stories to bring to life on Disney+, so we're thrilled to expand our relationship with him and can't wait to get started," said Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige.
It is noted that the film made USD 432 million at the box office throughout its release since August this year. On the other hand, "Shang-Chi" star Simu Liu had a funny response to the news that there will be movie number two. The actor, seemingly responding to his previous bashers, posted a link to an article about the sequel and tweeted, "Flopped so hard we got a sequel!"
