10 Dec – It's a battle of the two superstars, as it was reported that Vijay Sethupathi's new movie, "Kaathuku Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal" could clash with Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming title, "Don". As reported on Times of India, the two films reportedly will be released on the same day in February next year, just in time for Valentine's Day. It is noted Sivakarthikeyan has just recently enjoyed a big success for his movie, "Doctor", which made USD 13.2 million at the box office.
Meanwhile, Vijay has been getting offers left and right, becoming one of the most sought-after actors during the pandemic. His upcoming films include M. Manikandan's "Kadaisi Vivasayi", as well as the Kamal Haasan-starrer "Vikram". Directed by newcomer Cibi Chakaravarthi, "Don" also co-stars SJ Suryah and Pritanka Arul Mohan, while "Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal" is directed by Vignesh Shivan and also has Nayanthara and Samantha in the lead roles. The two actors have had their movies competing at the box office twice already, with the last ones, "Remo" and "Rekka" being released at the same time in 2016.
