12 Aug – Fans have been worried about the state of many of DC movies following Warner Bros Discovery head David Zaslav's decision to cancel "Batgirl", but according to THR, most of the projects are currently intact. One of the many titles that are revealed to be safe is "Blue Beetle", the upcoming superhero movie starring Xolo Mariduena as the first Latino superhero to head a movie. The film is set to be released in August 2023. Aside from "Blue Beetle", the pre-production stage is ongoing for "Joker: Folie a Deux", which recently confirmed the addition of Lady Gaga, while James Gunn's season 2 of "Peacemaker" will continue on. On the other hand, despite its lead actor Ezra Miller's problematic behaviour, "The Flash" will not have any changes to its release date, after it was reported that the movie has tested well with the audience. Prior to "Batgirl", HBO Max scrapped "Wonder Twins", the superhero movie which was set to star "Riverdale" actor KJ Apa and actress Isabel May.
