19 Sep – Disney recently announced several new release dates, as well as changes to previously announced dates for its upcoming movies. Firstly, "The Haunted Mansion", its upcoming movie based on its famous theme park ride, has been delayed from 10 March to 11 August 2023, bumping an untitled live-action movie from the slot. Taika Waititi, who last helmed "Thor: Love and Thunder", is helming a sports comedy drama, "Next Goal Win", starring Will Arnett and Elisabeth Moss, which will be released on 21 April next year.
On the other hand, "Rogue Squadron", which was originally set to be helmed by "Wonder Woman" director Patty Jenkins has been removed from its 22 December 2023 release, with no news as to whether the project will continue. Meanwhile, "Snow White", starring "Wonder Woman" actress Gal Gadot and "West Side Story" star Rachel Zegler will be released on 22 March 2024, and "Inside Out 2", which was announced at the Disney's D23 Fan Expo, will be out in June of the same year. On the other hand, the "Lion King" prequel "Mufasa", has now been given the official release date of 5 July 2024.
