26 Sep – Tamil actor Karthi doesn't think there is any reason to compare his upcoming new epic film, "Ponniyin Selvan: I" to the previous blockbuster epic, "Baahubali". The actor, who spoke to the media in Hyderabad to meet the Telugu audience last week, stated that everybody has seen the two-parter SS Rajamouli film and loved it. "There is no need for another Baahubali. We are born in India and we have a lot of heroes in this land. We have to tell many such stories to our people," he added.
In the movie, Karthi plays the second protagonist, the Vaanar warrior prince Vanthiyathevan, who is described as brave, adventurous and sarcastic. Based on the popular Tamil literary novel of the same name by Kalki Krishnamurthy, Part One of the two-parter is set for release on 30 September.
