9 May – Jason Momoa is fast becoming Warner Bros' new favourite as it was revealed that the studio has acquired his new movie, "The Executioner".

The upcoming film, written by "Eternals" scribe, Kaz and Ryan Furpo, is described as a fun action murder mystery "in the spirit of Knives Out meets The Lord of the Rings".

The project has no director for the time being.

It will also reunite Momoa with his "Aquaman" producer Peter Safran, who is producing the said project.

It is noted that Momoa has several projects for 2023, including "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom", which is currently in post-production, the new Apple TV+ series, "Chief of War", as well as two big franchises, "Fast X" and "Minecraft" - the latter being produced by Warner Bros as well.
