26 May – A-list actor Samuel L. Jackson has recently said yes to being a part of the upcoming animated "Garfield" movie. Yes, you read that right. Nick Fury himself is set to reunite with his Marvel co-star Chris Pratt in the upcoming movie, reportedly lending his voice as Garfield's father Vic. Vic is revealed to be a new character, as Garfield's father has never appeared in previous movies or the original comic strip.
On the other hand, Pratt will be voicing the iconic lazy orange tabby that was first introduced by cartoonist Jim Davis in 1978. The animated feature is written by David Reynolds of "Finding Nemo" fame, with Mark Dindal, who has worked on Disney's "Emperor's New Groove" to direct the project that will be distributed by Sony Pictures. Aside from the untitled Garfield film, Jackson is currently filming Matthew Vaughn's new movie "Argylle", as well as the upcoming superhero movie, "The Marvels", in which he is reprising his role as Nick Fury.
