"The Archies" stars the kids of several Bollywood legends, and oh, some newcomers

17 May – The first photo from Zoya Akhtar's Bollywood adaptation of "The Archies" comics is finally out, revealing the cast that include children of some of the biggest stars in Bollywood.

On 14 May, Netflix India shared a promotional poster of the upcoming film, captioning it, "Grab your picnic baskets and pick out your cutest outfits, we're going to greet the Archie's gang. Presenting the cast of THE ARCHIES, a Zoya Akhtar film."

Netizens who saw the photos couldn't help but commented about the fact that half of the cast came from big Bolly families.

This include Suhana Khan, daughter of superstar Shah Rukh Khan; Agastya, son of author Shweta Bachchan Nanda and business tycoon Nikhil Nanda and grandchild of Bollywood veterans Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan; as well as Khushi Kapoor, the daughter of late superstar Sridevi and film producer Boney Kapoor.

"Nepotism at its peak," says one netizen.

"Starkids, assemble!" posted another.

On the other hand, other cast members include Mijir Ahuja, Yuvraj Menda, and Vedang Raina.

"The Archies" started production last month and is set to be released on Netflix in 2023.
