27 Oct – Despite mixed reviews from critics, Dwayne Johnson is elated that his superhero movie, "Black Adam" marks his best opening at the box office.
On 25 October, the actor shared the good news on social media by sharing a screenshot from Deadline, revealing that the DC movie made USD 67 million in its opening number domestically, and USD 140 million globally. "Blown away," he posted, "Biggest box office opening of my entire career - as a leading man."
"So grateful and THANK YOU from deep in my bones for making history with me. Box office results still rolling in and I'll keep you posted with the official numbers tomorrow..." he added. On 26 October, he again relayed another good news, that "Black Adam" is now the number one movie in the world. "The biggest box office opening of my career. INCREDIBLE 90% audience score. THANK YOU!!!!! New era of the DC Universe has begun," he expressed.
