"Pathaan" is now in top 10 highest grossing Indian films

7 Feb – "Pathaan" is now joining the list of highest grossing Hindi movies of all time, ten days after it first released in cinemas.

The movie, which opened on 25 January, has now earned USD 48 million domestically in India, enabling it to join the Rs 400 crore club, meaning that it has now accumulated USD 98 million at the box office.

It is noted that the highest grossing Indian movie of all time is still Aamir Khan's "Dangal" (with the success solidified by its China release). It is followed by "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" and "RRR", both helmed by SS Rajamouli.

"Pathaan" marks the big screen comeback of Shah Rukh Khan, who last played the lead in 2018's "Zero". It also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

SRK's last highest grossing movie was 2013's "Chennai Express", which also starred Deepika Padukone.
