25 May – Shah Rukh Khan won praises again by his fans, after it was revealed that he gracefully attended to an ailing fan's wish of meeting him at least once in her life. According to reports, Priya, the daughter of one Shivani Chakraborty, told the media that SRK contacted her 60-year-old mother via video call, after finding out about Shivani's request and the fact that she has been battling terminal cancer for several years. Said Priya, the "Pathaan" star wished for her mother's speedy recovery and promised to help her financially with the treatment process. "SRK will pray for my mother's speedy recovery. He read a 'dua' for her. SRK promised my mum that he would come to my wedding and have fish curry made in her kitchen provided the fish did not have bones," she said.
The video call reportedly lasted 30 minutes despite SRK's busy schedule. Fans took to the comments section of a Twitter thread about the visit to praise SRK, with one netizen writing, "He is truly something special. Who does this for a complete stranger? Only a saint, a man with a heart of gold. That's why I love him!" The actor will be seen next in Atlee's "Jawan", which is scheduled for 7 September release.
