5 Aug - Britney Spears has recently confirmed that there will be a biopic to be made about her life.

On 2 August, the pop star shared the good news on X, writing, "Excited to share with my fans that I've been working on a secret project with #MarcPlatt. He's always made my favorite movies ... stay tuned."

Media outlets later revealed that "La La Land" producer Marc Platt will be producing a movie based on her 2023 memoir, "The Woman in Me", which will be helmed by Jon M. Chu ("Wicked").

"The Woman in Me", which was published in October last year, has sold 2.5 million copies in the US alone, with its audiobook, read by Michelle Williams, becoming Spotify's top audiobook of 2023.

In it, Britney wrote about various subjects including her relationship with Justin Timberlake, the abortion she had while the two were still dating, as well as her postpartum depression after giving birth to her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
