4 Jan – Hollywood's two biggest horror auteurs Jason Blum and James Wan are merging their two companies together. Blum's famed Blumhouse has closed a deal to merge with Wan's Atomic Monster, with the said producer announcing it on X with a video showing all of the horror movies that the two have made. "Our deal is... Done. @blumhouse and #AtomicMonster have officially joined forces. The preeminent homes for horror are now under one roof," he tweeted.
It is noted that both Blumhouse and Atomic Monster have previously worked together in several projects, from the "Insidious" franchise to the 2023 hit, "M3GAN". In a previous interview in 2022, Blum spoke about the partnership, saying, "We don't usually put out more than three or four theatricals a year, and my hope is that with James we could double that to six to eight theatricals."
