Joshua Jackson to make big screen comeback with new "Karate Kid"

4 Mar - Nearly ten years after he last worked on a movie, Joshua Jackson is set to make his big screen comeback with Sony Pictures' "Karate Kid" movie.

The actor's character in the film has not been revealed by the studio, though it was reported that he will play one of the main characters alongside lead actors Ben Wang, Jackie Chan, and Ralph Macchio.

It is noted that Jackson, most known to fans in Asia as Pacey Witter in the hit late '90s TV series, "Dawson's Creek" as well as the hit film "The Mighty Ducks", was last seen on the big screen in the 2015 French-German film, Sky", which also co-stars Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus.

As for the upcoming "Karate Kid" film, not much has been unveiled, except that it will be set in the American East Coast and focuses on a teen from China. The project will be directed by "The End of the F***ing World helmer", Jonathan Entwistle.

Jackson was most recently seen in the miniseries, "Fatal Attraction".
