17 Apr – It was revealed that Keanu Reeves is voicing a new character in the upcoming third instalment of "Sonic the Hedgehog" movie. The news came following the unveiling of the third film by Paramount at CinemaCon last week, with Keanu playing the character Shadow the Hedgehog, an anthropomorphic red-striped black hedgehog resulting from a secret government programme called Project Shadow.
This is not the first rodeo for Keanu, who has voiced the character Duke Caboom in "Toy Story 4" and Bruce Wayne/Batman in "DC League of Super-Pets".
The upcoming movie, which sees the return Ben Schwartz, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Idris Elba as the voices of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, will also be joined by James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, as well as Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. The third film was announced back in February 2022 following the successes of both the first movie (released in 2020) and the second film, released two years later. "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" will be released in December.
