21 Mar - As if being convicted is not enough, Jonathan Majors' ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari is now filing a lawsuit against the actor for alleged assault, battery and defamation from incidents dating between 2021 and 2023. As reported on Variety, Jabbari filed the lawsuit in New York federal court on 20 March, claiming emotional distress, malicious prosecution and defamation following Majors' "Good Morning America" interview following his conviction.
Majors spoke out for the first time over the allegations on the show back in January, saying that he was shocked and afraid after the jury found him guilty of assault and harassment.
"I'm standing there and the verdict comes down. I say, 'How is that possible based off the evidence, based off the prosecution's evidence, let alone our evidence? How is that possible?" the actor told ABC News Live's Linsey Davis. Jabbari met Majors while the actor was filming "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" back in 2021 and moved in together in 2022. Following an altercation in March 2023, Majors was found guilty of two misdemeanour counts. The "Loki" star is set to be sentenced next month.
