A new production of "Godzilla" film by writer, director, and VFX supervisor Takashi Yamazaki
5 Nov - A new Godzilla movie will be in the works soon, as it was revealed that "Godzilla Minus One" helmer Takashi Yamazaki will be returning to the director's seat.

The news was announced by Japanese studio, Toho, saying that the filmmaker has inked a deal to helm the next film, following the success of the aforementioned film that he wrote and directed.

It is noted that Yamazaki also oversaw all the VFX in "Godzilla Minus One".

Yamazaki himself announced the good news via video that the studio shared on X, saying, "Hello everyone, I have wonderful news. I'll be directing the new Godzilla movie. Please stay tuned."

No news as to whether the movie will be a sequel to "Godzilla Minus One" or if it will be a standalone movie.

"Godzilla Minus One" made USD 116 million worldwide after being produced with a budget under USD 15 million.
