Rajinikanth wraps up filming for "Vettaiyan"


"Vettaiyan" was originally dubbed "Thalaivar 170", being the Tamil superstar's 170th film
15 May - Rajinikanth has finally wrapped up filming for his new movie, "Vettaiyan".

The news was shared via the official X account of the movie on 13 May, with a photo of the team handing a basket of bouquet to the legendary actor.

"And it is a wrap for our Thalaivar!" the caption read. "Superstar @rajinikanth completes filming his portion for Vettaiyan."

Earlier, co-star Amitabh Bachchan shared several photos from behind the scenes of the movie, which marked his reunion with Rajinikanth after 33 years.

Co-starring Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubai and Manju Warrier among others, the movie has yet to announce its release date, though sources are claiming it will be out in October.

Aside from "Vettaiyan", the superstar has also starred in Lokesh Kanagaraj's "Coolie".
