14 Nov - Adele is set to make her acting debut in the new Tom Ford movie, "Cry to Heaven".

The fashion designer-turned-filmmaker will be penning, directing, and producing the new movie, which is adapted from Anne Rice's novel of the same name.

Taking place in 18th century Italy, the story follows a Venetian noble and a maestro castrato from Calabria, both trying to succeed in the world of the opera.

Adele will be joining the likes of Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ciarán Hinds, George MacKay, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Paul Bettany, Owen Cooper, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Hunter Schafer, Josephine Thiesen, and Thandiwe Newton among others.

The film is currently in pre-production with principal photography to begin in January next year. It is slated for a Fall 2026 release.

It was last year that Adele announced that she is taking a hiatus from music following the end of her Las Vegas residency.
