"Air Mata di Kuala Lumpur" to be screened at Shanghai International Film Festival


"Air Mata di Kuala Lumpur" will have its Asian premiere at the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival this month
6 Jun - The Ridhwan Saidi film, "Air Mata Di Kuala Lumpur" is set to be screened at the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF).

Sharing the good news on social media, producer Moka Mocha Ink stated, "We're excited to announce that 'Air Mata di Kuala Lumpur' will have its Asian premiere at the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival this June 2025. Being part of this festival is another exciting chapter for the film, and we're thrilled to represent Malaysia on this platform."

The film will be screened in The Belt and Road Film Week section in several theatres on 13, 16, 18, 19 and 22 June.

"Air Mata Di Kuala Lumpur" is one of the three Malaysian movies which will be participating in the Festival.

Chong Keat Aun's "Pavane for an Infant", which has already sparked buzz at Tokyo Film Festival and Hong Kong International Film Festival, will also be screened at three cinema halls in the Asia Now-Asian Collection section of the Festival.

Meanwhile, Malaysia's biggest box office film of 2024, "Blood Brothers: Bara Naga", will be screened as part of the Spectrum-Genre Collages section on 17, 19 and 22 June at three different theatre halls.
