27 Feb - There is a new development for our beloved purple dinosaur movie, and that is actress-writer Ayo Edebiri will be writing the screenplay for it! The actress, most known for the series, "The Bear", is confirmed to be the official scribe of the "Barney" live-action movie, and is also in talks to star in the film. The movie is produced by A24 and Daniel Kaluuya's 59% Productions in collaboration with Mattel Films.
However, despite Kaluuya being a producer for the project, sources are saying that the "Nope" actor will not be a part of the cast. No information has been revealed regarding the plot details for the time being.
Edebiri's most recent movie was "Inside Out 2", where she voiced the character of Envy. "Barney & Friends" had been entertaining children around the world since 1988, before it came to an end in November 2010. Among stars who have appeared on the show and went on to become big names include Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Jackson Pace and Debby Ryan.
