"Blood Brothers" sets to break national box office record
2 May - "Blood Brothers: Bara Naga" has now made RM62 million at the box office in just 20 days, poised to break the record set by "Sheriff: Narko Integriti" last year.

Co-director Syafiq Yusof, who also helmed "Sheriff", said that he didn't expect that the Sharnaaz Ahmad and Syafiq Kyle-starrer has reached this far at the box office after just three weeks of screening.

"I am confident Blood Brothers can surpass Sheriff's earnings last year, which totaled RM64 million in cinemas. Whatever happens, I'm thankful for this success," he enthused.

"Their participation has been extremely helpful," he said.

The film's latest box office was revealed in a surprise announcement displayed on a giant LED screen at the iconic Bukit Bintang location.
