7 Jul - Many stars recently took to social media to mourn the loss of Julian McMahon, who passed away early this month.

His "Charmed" co-stars Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan posted their separate tribute to the actor, who played the role of Phoebe's love interest Cole Turner, with the former calling him more than her "TV husband".

"He was a dear friend. The kind who checks in. The kind who remembers. The kind who shares. The kind who tells you the truth, even when it's uncomfortable - but always with love," she expressed. "My heart is with Kelly, with Madison, and with Iliana - his girls, his world. He adored them. You could feel it in every conversation, every story, every text. He was a family man above all, and he loved deeply."

Meanwhile, Combs, who also shared several photos of them together, including one of McMahon with another late "Charmed" star Shannen Doherty who died from cancer last year, writing, "One of a kind is an understatement. Your unyielding zest for life and crazy making sense of humor will be sorely missed. The joy and laughter you were the direct cause of will always be remembered. I hope you find our lady friend and dance in those rose petals."

Ioan Gruffud, who worked with McMahon in the two previous "Fantastic Four" movies, where McMahon played Doctor Doom, expressed, "Even though we played each other's nemeses, there was always so much lightness and laughter working together. Every encounter with him was a joy. It was an honor to be Dr. Richards to his Dr. Doom. My heart goes out to his wife and family."

On the other hand, Nicolas Cage, who last saw McMahon on the red carpet of their movie, "The Surfer" in March, released a statement that read, "I spent six weeks working with Julian, and he was the most talented of actors. Our scenes together on The Surfer were amongst my favorites I have ever participated in, and Julian is one of my favorite people. He was a kind and intelligent man. My love to his family."

The only son of Sir William McMahon, a former Prime Minister of Australia, McMahon was best known for his many TV and movie roles, including Cole Turner in "Charmed", Dr. Christian Troy in "Nip/Tuck", Doctor Doom in the "Fantastic Four", and Jess LaCroix in "FBI: Most Wanted".

He passed away from cancer on 2 July. He was 56.
