"Babah" star Cristina Suzanne clinches top Asian Actress Award
8 Sep - Cristina Suzanne has made Malaysia proud after winning the Asian Most Popular Actress award at the Third Cambodia Asian Film Festival.

Sharing the good news on social media with a video from her appearance at the awards ceremony, the actress wrote, "Asian Most Popular Actress Award as Hayati for Babah Film. This is for the Babah family, and I'm bringing it home for Malaysiaku. Alhamdulillah."

She also didn't forget to shout out to fashion designer Suman Raj for her flowery dress that she wore to the event.

Many took to the comments to congratulate Cristina, including actresses Siti Saleha and Nadiya Nisaa, the latter who wrote, "Alhamdulillah Crissie. Long live mama."

The movie, which was released in 2024, stars Qi Razali as Isyak, a father who dedicated his life to taking care of his daughter Maya (Sweet Qismina), who is diagnosed with the Guillain-Barre syndrome.
