Dave Coulier faces a new cancer battle
3 Dec - It wasn't a long celebration for Dave Coulier, as the Canadian actor revealed that he has now been diagnosed with tongue cancer.

The "Full House" actor, who beat Stage 3 non-Hodgkin Lymphoma seven months ago, shared the news during an appearance on NBC's "Today," though assured that it is not as serious as his previous cancer battle nor was it related to it.

"So in October of this year, I went in for a PET scan, just a routine check-up and something flared on the PET scan. It turned out that I have P16 squamous carcinoma at the base of my tongue. So I said to the doctors, I said, 'Well, did this happen because of the lymphoma?' And they said, 'Totally unrelated.'"

Stressing that it has 90 percent curability rate, Coulier added, "But the thing that has really saved my life, is that early detection. Not just the first time but the second time as well. So I hope you're getting your check-ups. I hope you get your colonoscopies and breast exams and prostate exams, they will save your life."

It was back in November last year that Coulier revealed that he had been diagnosed with Stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a form of blood cancer. He quickly began chemotherapy and announced to be cancer free in March.
