On-screen kisses are a thing of the past for George Clooney

15 Dec - George Clooney is going the Paul Newman route in his 60s, and by that, he meant that he is no longer doing kissing scenes.

The actor shared that piece of information in a recent interview with Daily Mail, saying that he had a conversation with his wife about it back when he turned 60.

"I said, 'Look, I can still play basketball with the boys. I play with 25-year-old guys. I can still hang, I'm in shape. But in 25 years, I'm 85 years old. It doesn't matter how many granola bars you eat, that's a real number,'" he added.

The couple tied the knot in 2014

Clooney, who is now 64, said that he told his wife that he and Julia Roberts, whom he starred with in the 2022 movie, "Ticket to Paradise," took 80 takes for one kissing scene.

It is noted that the movie was also the last romantic film Clooney has filmed, and the only one he did in 2022. The actor was recently nominated for Best Actor at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards for "Jay Kelly".
