6 Oct - Following the success of his movies like "Polis Evo" and "Suami Aku Ustaz", Ghaz Abu Bakar is now back with a new movie, "Qifarah", which also marks his first foray into horror.

The movie, which delves into a dark world of mysticism and psychological elements, is a serious work that demands a different creative approach, blending intense performances, haunting cinematography, and a meaningful theme of retribution.

With a star-studded cast including Remy Ishak, Sharifah Sakinah, Liyana Jasmay, and Namron, "Qifarah" is designed to offer an emotionally gripping and suspenseful cinematic experience.

Ghaz crafted the story with moody visuals, a haunting thriller rhythm, and layered themes that encourage audiences to reflect beyond the horror elements.

Produced by Skop Productions, the film follows Yusoff (played by Remy Ishak), who returns to Malaysia after living abroad for many years. Following his return, Yusoff has to confront past trauma rooted in his family's practice of black magic.
