17 Sep - "Highlander" will delay its production, after it was reported that its star Henry Cavill has sustained an injury during pre-production.

While no details have been released regarding the exact injury, filming has now been pushed to 2026 instead of the coming weeks. It is noted that Cavill had been training for months for the project prior to his injury.

This also means that the film is expected to arrive in 2027 or 2028.

The remake of the 1980s classic about immortal warriors is being helmed by "John Wick" director, Chad Stahelski, who had been developing the project for nearly 10 years.

The film previously announced Russell Crowe, Dave Bautista, Marisa Abela, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou and Max Zhang as Cavill's co-stars.
