3 Jul - James Gunn is neither denying nor confirming rumours of Adria Arjona as the new Wonder Woman, but he surely thinks she is a good fit for it.

The DC Studios co-head recently addressed Arjona's casting rumours, after many speculated that she will be the new female superhero due to the fact that Gunn follows her on Instagram.

In an interview with Extra, the "Superman" director said, "I follow Adria on Instagram but everybody came out [and said], 'He just followed her, that means she's Wonder Woman.' She'd be a great Wonder Woman, by the way."

Gunn said that he has known Arjona for seven years since he penned the script for the 2016 film, "The Belko Experiment" that the actress was a part of.

"I followed her [on Instagram] then, I didn't just follow her [recently]," he said.

Arjona has been one of the names that fans have suggested to replace Gal Gadot in the new DC universe. Others include Alexandra Daddario, Elodie Yung and Jaimie Alexander.
