James Gunn laughs off "Superman" boycott threat
18 Jun - James Gunn seems to be nonchalant when it comes to Zack Snyder fans' onslaught against him, as he recently responded on Threads regarding their latest plan to boycott "Superman".

On 15 June, a Threads user shared a screenshot of a post on Reddit's r/SnyderCut of a user, who is calling for Zack Snyder DCEU's fandom to boycott the upcoming David Corenswet-starring "Superman" after their Superman of choice, Henry Cavill was not called to reprise the role in Gunn's version.

This include leaving bad ratings on review sites, and posting spoilers everywhere, as well as reserving tickets but not completing the purchase.

To that, Gunn responded, "LOL. I think we'll survive. I'm not sure the eight people that listen to that guy (I'm going to go out on a limb and guess it's a guy) are going to impact the course of events."

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Gunn spoke about the Snyder vs Gunn feud, saying, "I don't mind it. I think it's good. I think you don't want to have everybody root for you."

"It's all right to have an opposing force every once in a while. Some of the things get ridiculous. I just know that every time something comes out, it doesn't matter how positively received, there's going to be something that is of great controversy. It was great controversy that the sun caused Superman pain," he added.
