17 Oct - It was revealed that Jim Carrey has been in talks to play a role in the live-action adaptation of the classic animated comedy series, "The Jetsons". The project from Warner Bros Pictures will be helmed by Colin Trevorrow of "Jurassic World" fame. Trevorrow is also set to write the script alongside Joe Epstein ("Love Without Borders").
"The Jetsons", which made its debut on ABC in 1962, revolves around the Jetson family comprising of George Jetson, wife Jane, their two kids, robot housekeeper Rosie and dog Astro as they navigate their futuristic life.
The series was produced by Hanna-Barbera (William Hanna and Joseph Barbera), who also created "The Flintstones". Carrey is no stranger to live-action, having played Dr Robotnik in the live-action version of "Sonic the Hedgehog" franchise.
