22 Sep - Speculation is mounting that Netflix may be exploring a potential acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery.

As rumours began to swirl that billionaire David Ellison is eyeing on buying the studio following his Paramount purchase, it was reported that Netflix will be a likely candidate to acquire Warner Bros Discovery, which has HBO, DC Studios, and the Max streaming platform under its wings.

The rumoured move could significantly strengthen Netflix's content library and IP holdings in an increasingly competitive streaming market.

Neither Netflix nor Warner Bros. Discovery has publicly commented on the speculation. Analysts stated that while rumours have momentum, many deals of this nature would usually falter or change form before reaching finalisation.
