Shawn Levy and Ryan Gosling's "Star Wars" expands with a new adventure

22 Dec - Filmmaker Shawn Levy recently announced that "Star Wars: Starfighter" has now concluded filming.

The director shared the good news on 18 December with a photo of him running on the set of the movie, and wrote, "That's a wrap! Headed into #Starfighter post-production like..."

Back in September, Levy announced the start of the movie with a photo of Ryan Gosling and Flynn Gray, captioning it, "Somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea #Starfighter."

No information has been released regarding its plot, except that the film is set roughly five years after the event of 2019's "The Rise of Skywalker.

The upcoming movie also co-stars Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings and Amy Adams.

"Star Wars: Starfighter" will open 28 May 2027.
