7 Nov - It looks like Warner Bros is taking their new "Superman" film very seriously, as it was revealed that the movie has been submitted to the Golden Globes. Sources revealed that the studio has submitted the David Corenswet-starrer for Best Motion Picture in the Drama category, as well as Best Actor for the said actor, Best Supporting Actor and Actress for Nicholas Hoult and Rachel Brosnahan, as well as Best Directing and Screenplay for James Gunn. Others include Original Song for "The Mighty Crabjoy's Theme," penned by Gunn, Eric Nally and Devin Williams.
The movie, which is currently the third highest-grossing movie of 2025, has also earned enough box office receipts for consideration for Outstanding Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, which recognises films that have grossed more than USD 150 million globally.
Warner Bros seems to be confident due to the fact that their previous DC film, "Joker" had won multiple accolades before, while James Gunn's previous work with Marvel, "Guardians of the Galaxy" has also earned Oscar nods. The nominations for the Golden Globe will be revealed on 8 December.
