6 Oct - The highly-anticipated Zach Cregger's "Resident Evil" movie has now cast more actors, including "Severance" breakout star, Zach Cherry.

Cherry, who plays Dylan G in the hit series, will be joined by "True Detective" actress Kali Reis and "I Love That For You" actor Johno Wilson in the upcoming Sony Pictures project from the horror auteur.

Meanwhile, Austin Abrams, who stole the show as unhoused drug addict in Cregger's "Weapons", will be leading the movie.

Cregger, whose latest film "Weapons" became a summer hit, making USD 266 million from a USD 38 million budget, penned the script alongside John Wick 3's scribe Shay Hatten.

Cherry reportedly will play the role of a scientist, while Reis will portray a former military person, which was originally written as a male character.

The movie will begin shooting in the middle of this month in Prague for a September 2026 release.
