12 Mar - Another biopic is coming, and this time, it will be about one of the most popular rock bands of all time, Bon Jovi.

It was reported that Universal is set to produce the film, which will revolve around the formative years of the band from New Jersey who ended up selling over 130 million albums and being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The upcoming film will be penned by Cody Brotter of "Killing Satoshi" and "Chasing Phil".

Not much information has been released for the time being. The project has yet to hire a director nor has it cast actors to play the members.

Formed in 1983, the band consists of singer Jon Bongiovi, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, guitarists John Shanks and Phil X, percussionist Everett Bradley, and bassist Hugh McDonald. Previous members include Alec John Such and Richie Sambora.

Among the band's greatest hits include "You Give Love a Bad Name," "It's My Life," "Wanted Dead or Alive," and "Livin on a Prayer."
