20 Jul - Another movie is changing its release slot, following news that "Jana Nayagan" is finally releasing in cinemas.

It was revealed that "DC," the movie that marks director Lokesh Kanagaraj's acting debut, has delayed its original 31 July release, following news that the Vijay-starrer "Jana Nayagan" is set to open around the same time.

The news was shared by Sun Pictures on 16 July, stating, "#DC is certified A. Releasing in theatres worldwide from August 7."

Directed and co-written by Arun Matheswaran, the logline read, "Rebel Devadas joins forces with Chandra in a dangerous world where passion and peril collide. Their turbulent alliance demands bloodshed and tests loyalties as survival becomes the ultimate stakes in their fight."

The movie co-stars Wamiga Gabbi as the female lead.

"DC" isn't the only film making way for "Jana Nayagan." Jason Sanjay's directorial debut "Sigma," starring Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah, was also originally scheduled for 31 July but is now expected to move to August, reportedly to avoid clashing with "Jana Nayagan." Jason Sanjay is the son of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
