Hollywood icon Tim Curry passed away at 80

27 Aug - Not a day after Dolly Parton's passing, celebrities are again taking to social media to mourn the loss of another gem, British actor Tim Curry.

Carol Burnett, who worked with Curry on 1982's "Annie" shared a musical clip from the movie and wrote, "We had such a wonderful time working together on Annie.' Nobody could play lovable villains better than he could. He was a dear friend. I was blessed to know him."

Actress-activist Susan Sarandon, who co-starred with him in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" film, posted, "What a funny, sexy, original he was. But what I loved about him most was his heart. Even wheelchair-bound he continued to be so sweet and generous with his fans. Thank you, Tim, for meaning so much to so many people. Love you, S."

Kiefer Sutherland, who collaborated with Curry in Disney's "The Three Musketeers" (1993), released a statement that read, "Tim Curry was someone I cared deeply about, he was someone I loved working with and I am so lucky to have these memories... Rest in peace, my friend."

Elaine Hendrix posted a photo of her with Curry, and expressed, "And the blows keep coming. I worked with Tim Curry in the 90s. He was THE kindest man. I adored him up close and from a far since discovering "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" while I was in High School. I was a huge fan of him! What a talent. What a gentleman. What an honor. RIP Tim."

News of Tim Curry's passing was announced by his manager and friend Marcia Hurwitz, who revealed that he died in Los Angeles. He was 80.
