3 Jun - Legendary R&B singer-songwriter Peabo Bryson has recently passed away.

The news was announced by his family on 2 June, revealing that Bryson suffered a stroke, days prior to his passing.

"We are tremendously moved by the outpouring of love, prayers and support from fans, friends, and colleagues around the world. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing how deeply Peabo was loved and how many lives were touched by his voice and his generous spirit. His legacy and music will live on for generations to come," the statement read.

Born as Robert Peopo Bryson, the singer is known for many hits like "Feel the Fire," "Reaching for the Sky," "I'm So into You," "Crosswinds," and "Let the Feeling Flow".

However, he is most known globally for his back-to-back Disney hits, "Beauty and the Beast" and Aladdin's "A Whole New World," of which he won two Grammy Awards for.
