30 Jan - Sam Worthington has recently been announced as part of the cast of the upcoming English-language debut of award-winning filmmaker Midi Z.

The actor, who was last seen on "Avatar: Fire and Ash" will be joined by David Duchovny and Midi's past collaborator Wu Ke-xi in "The Exiles," which is described as "a desperate Westerner's pursuit of greener pastures in Asia, where greed, rivalry and ego ultimately spiral into a shocking murder."

The crime-thriller is currently shooting on location in Taipei.

The Taiwan-based Myanmar-born director is known for his many festival favourites, like "Ice Poison" (2014) and "The Road to Mandalay" (2016).

He has also worked with Wu Ke-xi on 2018's "Nina Wu", the actress whom also co-wrote the upcoming film.
