8 Jan - It was revealed that Sebastian Stan is now in talks to join Matt Reeves' upcoming Batman sequel, "The Batman Part II".

According to Deadline, following the casting of Scarlett Johansson, it was reported that Stan will be the next MCU star who will join the DC Universe, though no news as to what character he has been offered.

The movie will see the return of Robert Pattinson as the DC superhero, with production scheduled for spring 2026.

Meanwhile, the film itself, which will be the first Batman film under James Gunn and Peter Safran, is slated for 1 October 2027 release.

Stan played the Winter Soldier for the past decade, and most recently reprised his role in "Thunderbolts*".
