12 Jan – "The Shadow's Edge" has been named the highest grossing Chinese movie in Malaysia in 2025, after successfully accumulating RM 19 million at the box office.

The news was shared by GSC Movies, following a celebratory event held with Shanghai Pictures and EJJ Films, stating, "Last night, we celebrated 'The Shadow's Edge' passing RM19 MILLION with our partner Shanghai Pictures - now the highest-grossing Hong Kong film in Malaysia this year! Thank you to every supporter who made this possible!"

"GSC Movies looks forward to bringing more great movies to Malaysia!" it added.

The movie, which stars legendary Hong Kong actors Jackie Chan and Tony Leung Kar Fai, has surpassed the previous 2025 record held by "The Last Dance," which made RM 17.8 million.

Dr. Vijay Pillai, Director of Shanghai Pictures, said, "The impressive box office success of [the movie] surpassing RM19 million is incredibly encouraging and gratifying for the entire team. This not only represents the audience's trust in us but also highlights the strong and close partnership between us and our partner and co-distributor, GSC Movies."
