20 Jan - Silambarasan TR, fondly known as Simbu or STR, is set to star in his 51st film titled "God of Love," directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.

The director, best known for his work on "Oh My Kadavule," has an exciting promise for fans: this film will bring back the energetic "Vintage Simbu" that captivated audiences in the early 2000s during the "Manmadhan" (2004) and "Vallavan" (2006) era.

It's the kind of throwback that has longtime fans talking and excited. That raw energy and charisma that Simbu brought to the screen back then made those films iconic, and the prospect of revisiting that style has generated genuine buzz around the project.

The production timeline has seen some adjustments along the way. While filming was initially slated to begin in September, scheduling shifts with Simbu's other commitments have moved things around. The team is now looking at an April 2026 start date for shooting.
