The 9th edition of Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest) takes place from 18 to 25 July 2025 at GSC MyTOWN in Kuala Lumpur.
The festival opens with "BAGA: Tomorrow Belongs to No One", represents a powerful showcase of contemporary Malaysian storytelling and emerging local talent on the world stage. The closing film, "Yellow Letters" is a moving exploration of artistic freedom, resilience, and personal sacrifice, the movie provides a fitting and unforgettable conclusion to this year's festival.
MIFFest will present 65 films from 35 countries and regions in 27 languages, bringing together an inspiring spectrum of cinematic voices, cultures, and perspectives from around the world, featuring 2 World Premieres, 1 International Premiere, 3 Asian Premieres, 12 Southeast Asian Premieres, and 28 Malaysian Premieres.
