The Other Bank (EIC)

12-year old Tedo and his mother flee war and ethnic cleansing in the breakaway Georgian region on Abkhazia, leaving his father behind. After arriving in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, he encounters difficulties with his mother, and begins a lonely journey back to Abkhazia to find his father. Tedo meets many people on his journey - and suffers many a blow. He is by no means welcomed everywhere. As his journey comes to an end, he has acquired many an insight - such as the realisation that the grass is not necessary greener on the other side.
