The divergent paths of two brothers and a sister collide when their mother, Helena (Edith Scot) heiress to her uncle`s exceptional 19th century art collection, dies all of a sudden. Letting all of her children Adrienne (Julliette Binoche), a successful New York designer, Frederic (Charles Berling), an economist and university professor in Paris, and Jeremie (Jeremie Renier), a dynamic businessman in China to meet up and reflect on their memories and background since they have grown to share a unique vision of their future.
