The Good, the Bad and the Dead:

KRU Studios delivers another production directed by Malaysian Chinese filmmaker, Jason Chong starring Lisa Surihani, Fizz Fairuz and Miera Liyana as the main leads. The film is about Lena, who recently just got out of a coma and lost all of her memory but still remembers her husband, Shahrul, as secrets start to unfold. While the film has the potential to shine as a strong and firm horror movie, it lacks in the storyline where too much plot holes are discovered in the film, making one confused about the actual content, but the biggest flaw of the movie is the title itself as it does not fully reflect the story of the film and it is also not the main highlight of the plot. Nevertheless, the movie has a few notable points that are worthy to be given attention to. One of it is that the film has amazing ambient sound effects that leave viewers restless in their seats. Also, the realistic yet terrifying make-up of the ghosts and ghouls manages to scare viewers every time they pop up on screen. The studio did a good job on the make-up of the before and after appearance of main character, played by Lisa Surihani where she turns from an elegant, rich and beautiful lady to a poor, sickly and pale woman. Another noteworthy point of the film is the remarkable acting performance of Lisa as Lena. Though the actress mentioned that she is not fond of this character, she did a splendid job in delivering her character as a sickly woman in the film. Overall, the film is a decent local effort, but there is still room for certain areas that could've been improved for a better effect.

Look Out For:

The sudden appearance of a creepy looking figure in white with long black messy hair and a face that is so scary that no words can describe it.
